Hydrafacial Treatment

A HydraFacial is a non-invasive facial treatment that combines several steps to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and infuse the skin with serums containing hydrating and nourishing ingredients. It is often performed at spas, dermatology clinics, and skincare centers.

The HydraFacial treatment typically involves the following steps

Cleansing

The treatment begins with gentle cleansing to remove dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin’s surface.

Exfoliation

A gentle exfoliating solution is applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells and prepare the skin for subsequent steps.

Extraction

A specialized tool is used to perform painless extractions of impurities such as blackheads and whiteheads. This step helps to clean out clogged pores.

Hydration

The skin is infused with a combination of serums that contain various beneficial ingredients like antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and vitamins.

HydraFacial Light Therapy

Light therapy is the application of light energy to the skin for therapeutic benefit. LED light therapy provides an excellent finishing touch to HydraFacial treatment.

Blue Light Therapy is great to help oily skin and active acne. The blue LED lights target the strain of bacteria that causes most acne.

Red Light Therapy is a great add-on to help with hyperpigmentation and anti-aging concerns.

Dermaplaning

  • Promotes smoother skin
  • Safe procedure for removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz!
  • Reduces the appearance of acne scars
  • Diminishes the look of fine lines
  • Works on all skin types!

Dermaplaning Treatment

HydraFacials are popular because they offer a gentle and customizable approach to improving skin texture, tone, and hydration without the discomfort or downtime associated with more aggressive treatments like chemical peels or laser therapy. They can address a range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, oily or congested skin, and dryness.

It’s important to note that while HydraFacials can provide immediate improvements in skin appearance and hydration, the results are temporary and may require regular treatments to maintain the desired effects. As with any skincare treatment, results can vary based on individual skin conditions and the expertise of the practitioner performing the treatment.

What is Lymphatic Drainage?

Lymphatic Drainage is a process where lymph nodes are drained through a series of movements on the face. At Transformed Med Spa, we use a clean glass tube for these movements and perform this step prior to the HydraFacial cleansing and extraction.

The Lymphatic system is considered the body’s “second circulatory system” and is made up of lymph, lymph nodes, and lymph vessels. Lymph nodes are small glands that carry fluid, nutrients, and body waste from the body tissue and contain lymphocytes (white blood cells) that help the body fight infection and disease. The Lymphatic system is a crucial part of your immune system, and a functioning lymphatic system is key to healthy skin and healthy life. When anything disrupts this system like bacteria or toxins, fluid starts to build.

The Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage

  • Removes toxins and bacteria from the skin
  • Relieves any sinus pressure and congestion (hello, allergy season!)
  • Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, puffy eyes
  • Reduces swelling
  • Increases collagen production
  • Opens your lymphatic system and increases lymph flow

Benefits

HydraFacial treatments offer several potential benefits for the skin due to their multi-step approach and customizable nature.
Some of the benefits include:

Deep Cleansing

The exfoliation and extraction steps help to deeply clean the skin by removing dead skin cells, excess oil, and impurities from the pores, which can lead to a clearer complexion.

Hydration

The infusion of hydrating serums, often containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, helps to replenish and lock in moisture, leaving the skin looking and feeling more supple and plump.

Improved Skin Texture

Regular HydraFacial treatments can lead to smoother skin texture by exfoliating away rough patches and promoting the growth of healthier skin cells.

Reduction in Fine Lines and Wrinkles

The combination of exfoliation, extraction, and infusion of serums with anti-aging ingredients can help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful look.

Even Skin Tone

HydraFacials can assist in reducing the appearance of uneven skin tone, sunspots, and hyperpigmentation through exfoliation and the use of serums containing brightening agents.

Reduced Pore Size

The deep cleansing and extraction steps can help to minimize the appearance of enlarged pores by removing debris and oil that can contribute to their visibility.

Non-Invasive

HydraFacials are non-invasive and generally well-tolerated, making them suitable for individuals with different skin types and sensitivities. They don’t typically require any downtime or recovery period.

Customizable

HydraFacials can be customized to address specific skin concerns and individual needs. The serums used can be adjusted to target issues like acne, dryness, aging, and more.

Quick Procedure

The treatment is usually quick, often taking around 30 minutes to an hour, making it convenient for those with busy schedules.

Instant Results

Many people notice immediate improvements in their skin’s appearance after a HydraFacial, including increased brightness, hydration, and a more even complexion.
